Gramayre Groodles - Recreational Dog Breeder under Animal Welfare Legislation may posses up to (10) fertile female dogs & (1) entire male dog.

Legislation and code of ethics state that each breeding female may have up to 5 litters in their lifetime and must not have more than 3 litters in any two-year period.

Breeding Females must be retired from breeding prior to the age of six years. Male breeding dogs should be retired at 6 years of age unless a veterinary breeding clearance certificate has been obtained. Our breeding pets at Gramayre consist of 4 female breeders and one male entire. We prefer to focus on a maximum of 4 females rather than 10.  Only having the four breeding females allow us to focus extensively on each individual litters health and well-being and ensure that we obtain the best of homes for each puppy.

Here at Gramayre Groodles we understand that it is a privilege to be in a position to be able to breed such exquisite pets for others to enjoy.  We don’t take this responsibility lightly as registered members of (RPBA) Responsible Pet Breeders Australia, Membership Number 13210.  Our code of ethics follows the strict guidelines of the RPBA code of Ethics and a link containing the code of ethics is available on our web site.

RPBA are one of only a few select organisations that are approved as an applicable organisation by Animal Welfare Victoria. RPBA members must follow the RPBA Code of Ethics and also state legislation which you can also source via this link: https://responsiblepetbreeders.com.au/about-us/and the relevant Animal Welfare Victoria Legislation.

Members of the RPBA must undergo regular inspections of premises/property/breeding areas by a Veterinary Practitioner to ensure Animal Welfare Compliance.  Individual health records of each breeding pet is recorded and maintained and available at all times for inspection by the relevant authority. Our Animal Welfare Victoria membership and source number is RB200786.
